Boscean remains a sparse collection of dwellings tethered to the rugged, granite-strewn shoulder of the Penwith peninsula. It lies 0.7 miles north-west of St Just (from St Just: bearing 313°T, OS grid SW 363 321), and is situated south-west of Botallack village. The Atlantic gales scour this exposed terrain, leaving the gorse and stunted hawthorn to lean perpetually toward the east.
