Minions rests upon the high spine of Bodmin Moor, a place where the sky feels close enough to touch. It lies 6.8 km north of Liskeard (from Liskeard: bearing 8°T, OS grid SX 262 712), and is situated north of Crow's Nest village. Here, the wind whispers through the heather and gorse, carrying the scent of peat and damp earth, a constant companion to the scattered stone dwellings. The landscape around Minions is a vast, open canvas, painted in shades of emerald and russet, where ancient standing stones stand as silent sentinels against the sweep of the horizon. The air, sharp and clean, seems to hold the echoes of generations who have worked this rugged land, their lives as intertwined with the moor as the hardy grasses. In the quietude of the evenings, as the sun dips low, the light can cast a fleeting, ethereal glow over the granite outcrops, a moment of profound, wild beauty.
