Tresmeer gathers the slate-grey light of the Cornish sky across its quiet, elevated plateaus. It lies 6.3 miles west-north-west of Launceston (from Launceston: bearing 286°T, OS grid SX 233 875), and is situated west-north-west of Egloskerry village. Ancient granite, worn smooth by centuries of rain, marks the Wayside Cross in Tresmeer churchyard, standing as a silent witness to the passage of generations. Beyond the church, the landscape tilts toward the Mill Pond, where the water captures the stillness of a landscape largely forgotten by the frantic pace of the modern world. The terrain here rises with a stubborn, elemental character, defined more by the bracing wind than by the soft edges found in southern lowlands. A short distance away, the elevated profile of Tregearedown Beacon commands the horizon, offering a clear vantage over the patchwork of fields that sustain the local rhythm.
