How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-André-Lachamp

Saint-André-Lachamp rests within the Parc Naturel Régional des Monts d'Ardèche, defined by the rugged character of la Cham du Cros and the sheltering presence of the Bois Domanial de Saint-André-Lachamp. Here, the Ruisseau de Charaix carves its way through a landscape of schist and chestnut, where the scent of box and thyme lingers after rain. Nearby, the Romanesque architecture of the Église Notre-Dame de Thines offers a quiet sanctuary, while the imposing stones of the Château de Versas and the Château de Chambonas stand as silent sentinels over the valleys, evoking a storied past within these mistral-scoured ridges.
