Saint-Beauzire rests upon the Plateau de Chalet, where the landscape is defined by the steady presence of the Longiroux and the quiet shelter of the Collange woodland. This is a region of high horizons, where the air feels sharpened by the proximity of the Treize Vents col. In the wider countryside, the earth leans toward the distant, grander currents of l'Allier. Visitors may venture toward the Basilique Saint-Julien to admire its ancient stone, or explore the weathered ruins of the Château-fort d'Aurouze.
