Saint-Rémy-de-Maurienne rests within the Chaîne des Hurtières, a landscape defined by the mountain's shadow moving across the valley floor. Here, the air is thin and bright, carrying the distant echo of cowbells from high pastures. The Ruisseau d'Arpingon flows close by, feeding into the wider waters of l'Arc, while the slopes are cloaked in the dense canopy of the Forêt de Varrat.
