How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Arcey

Arcey rests quietly within the limestone escarpments of the Côte-d’Or, a small village cradled by the dense Forêt de Liau. Here, the landscape is defined by the winding course of l'Ouche and the quiet presence of the distant Roche Aigüe. Beyond the immediate fields, the region reveals its character through the impressive arches of the Viaduc de Fin and the storied stones of the Abbatiale cistercienne Notre-Dame des Trois-Vallées. Visitors might also explore the serene grounds of the Abbaye de La Bussière, where the spirit of the countryside lingers in the ancient, moss-covered walls and the quietude of the surrounding woods.
