How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Champrenault

Champrenault sits quietly within the limestone folds of the Montagne de la Trembleroie, a commune defined by the deep solitude of the nearby Bois Prieur. The landscape is shaped by the gentle flow of la Drenne and the subtle shifts of the valley floor, where autumn mist often clings to the fields. Beyond the village, a visitor might explore the storied Abbatiale de la Purification et Saint-Seine, or seek the horizon near the summit of Mont Tasselot. The historical resonance of the Sources de la Seine offers a contemplative journey through the ancient, rolling topography of the Côte-d'Or.
