How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Fain-lès-Moutiers

Fain-lès-Moutiers rests within the quiet folds of the Côte-d'Or, where the landscape is defined by the gentle presence of the Fossé 01 de la Commune de Fain-lès-Moutiers and the deep, silent canopy of the Bois de la Serrée. The terrain rises toward the distant Mont de Cra, offering a vista of limestone escarpments and classic Burgundian fields. Nearby, one discovers the enduring stonework of the Château d'Anstrude, the weathered Menhir dit Grande Borne ou Pierre-Sainte-Christine, and the noble ruins of the Château de Montfort. Here, autumn mist often settles in the valleys, masking the horizon where the distant Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan begins.
