How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Maligny

Maligny sits quietly within the rolling terrain of the Montagne de Beaune, a landscape defined by the nearby Ruisseau du Breuil and the dense, watchful shade of the Bois de Morey. Here, the air holds the scent of damp earth and autumn mist, while the Étang de Breuil reflects the changing sky. Beyond the village, the horizon is anchored by le Mont, standing tall above a countryside where granite meets limestone. A short journey leads to the stately Château de Sully, the historic walls of the Château des Princes de Condé, and the elegant architecture of the Maison Maugars, all nestled deep within this tranquil corner of the Côte-d'Or.
