OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

The landscape reflects the spirit of the region, marked by the presence of the Montagne de Beaune and the distant, rugged silhouettes of the Montagne de la Combe Grisard. Nearby, the grand Abbaye de Cîteaux stands as a testament to centuries of monastic stillness, while the elegant Château de Saulon and the historic Pont-Canal Des Arvaux invite lingering walks along peaceful towpaths, where the autumn mist often settles deep into the valley floor.
