OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Dannemarie rests within the limestone plateaux of the Doubs, where the landscape unfolds in quiet, stepped tiers. Close by, the waters of la Doue trace a path through the earth, while the dense canopy of le Pleuvrier offers a sanctuary of dark firs and shadows. The nearby Trou de la Chèvre hints at the hidden karst world beneath the surface. Beyond the village, the horizon is shaped by the Doubs Horloger regional nature park. Visitors can explore the imposing ruins of the Château de Montjoie-le-Château, climb the Tour de Faux d'Enson for a sweeping view, or wander the historic ramparts of the Fort du Lomont.
