How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About La Bosse

La Bosse sits tucked within the Doubs Horloger regional nature park, a realm of limestone plateaux and dark fir forests. Near the sheltering woodland of la Côte, the landscape unfolds in steps, shaped by the Ruisseau des Seignes and the distant, looping course of le Doubs. Visitors may wander toward the dramatic Cirque de Consolation, a natural amphitheatre carved into the earth, or find stillness by the Lac de Moron. The spirit of this high country is found in the Petit Séminaire de Consolation, where stone walls echo the quiet rhythms of a terrain defined by karst springs and deep, bright winters.
