Levier s’inscrit au cœur de la Montagne du Laveron, sur ces plateaux calcaires qui s’étagent en gradins silencieux. La Forêt du Jura étend ses sombres pessières jusqu’aux abords du village, où la lumière se fait plus dense et plus recueillie.
