How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Château

Château sits nestled within the quiet folds of the Mont de la Péralle, a landscape defined by the rustle of the nearby Forêt Domaniale des Trois Monts and the gentle, winding path of le Clapier. Beyond the village, the horizon is shaped by the rugged heights of Mont de Mandé and the Col des Enceints. Travelers can discover the echoes of the past at the Ancienne abbaye or admire the sturdy stone of the Manoir du Colombier. Further afield, the ruins of Château de Lourdon stand as a silent witness to time, watching over the mist-filled valleys and the rich, rolling fields of Saône-et-Loire.
