How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Épertully

Épertully sits nestled within the quiet folds of the Montagne de Beaune, a landscape defined by the limestone escarpments and deep shadows of the Bois de Châtillon. The Ruisseau de Bruyère traces a gentle path nearby, winding toward the distant heights of the Mont de Rème. This is a region of ancient stone and autumn mist, where the silence is broken only by the wind through the trees. A short journey away, the Domaine du château de La Rochepot rises proudly above the valley, while the prehistoric camp echoes with the whispers of antiquity. Further afield, the vast, rugged expanse of the Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan invites exploration of its granite peaks and hidden woodlands.
