How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Verzé

Verzé rests amidst the quiet dignity of the Mont de la Péralle, where the landscape is defined by limestone escarpments and the verdant expanse of the Bois de Verzé. Nearby, the waters of le Talenchant trace the valley floor, reflecting the autumn mist that lingers over vine-lined côtes. A visitor might wander toward the Grottes d'Azé to explore ancient geological secrets, or admire the stoic silhouette of the Château des Moines de Cluny. The Maison de Lamartine offers a thoughtful connection to this storied terrain, where the soft light of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté settles over the rolling hills and sheltered cellars.
