How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Lanrelas

Lanrelas sits tucked within the quiet folds of the Breton countryside, a landscape defined by granite, slate, and the rhythmic green of the hedged bocage. Here, the land is etched by sunken lanes and the nearby Rance, which winds through the earth like a silver vein. Not far from the shadowed edges of the Bois de la Raslais, the past remains present in the weathered stones of the Menhir de la Glinaie, standing silent in the fields. A short distance away, the Château de La Bruyère and the Manoir de La Peignie rise from the gentle terrain, echoing a long-held stillness under the soft, shifting light of the Atlantic sky.
