OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Le Conquet sits where the land frays into the Atlantic, a place defined by granite, tide-scoured rock, and the persistent, salt-heavy air of the Finistère coast. Here, the landscape is shaped by the gorse and heather clinging to the headlands, where the light shifts with the rain coming in off the ocean in sudden, sweeping curtains. It is a world of sharp edges and deep horizons, where the rugged beauty of the Iles et de la Mer d'Iroise biosphere reserve defines the edge of the world.
Within the town, the Passerelle offers a quiet vantage point over the water, while the Château de Toul ou de Cosquiez stands as a stoic reminder of the local architecture. A short journey leads to the Phare de Kermorvan, marking the wild coast with its solitary vigil. Nearby, the ruins of the Abbaye Saint-Mathieu-de-Fine-Terre hold the silence of centuries, standing firm against the elements near the Pointe de Saint-Mathieu, where the land finally yields to the sea.
