How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Cornillé

Cornillé rests within a tapestry of hedged bocage and sunken lanes, a quiet corner of Ille-et-Vilaine where the landscape feels held by the gentle movement of the Ruisseau de la Bichetière. Close by, the Bois de Cornillé offers a textured canopy of green, while the wider countryside invites exploration toward the Plan d'Eau de la Cantache. Visitors may uncover the weathered history of the Menhir de la Haute Pierre, find the noble stone of Château du Bois-Bide, or visit the evocative site of La Pierre Blanche. It is a land defined by granite, slate, and the soft, lingering light of the Breton summer.
