How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Séris

Séris sits within a landscape of quiet horizons, where the flat, expansive cereal fields of the Beauce give way to the gentle undulations of the Loir-et-Cher. Nearby, the woods of la Pierre Couverte offer a shadowed refuge, while the Butte d'Isy rises softly against the sky. The wider countryside feels touched by the proximity of la Loire, drifting slowly toward the horizon. Visitors may seek out the ancient mystery of La Pierre du Vert-Galant or the weathered silence of La Pierre Tournante, both rooted deep in the soil, while the Château du Marais stands as a solitary sentinel in the distance.

À propos de Séris
