How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Renno

Renno sits nestled within the Parc Naturel Régional de Corse, a village of drystone clinging to the slopes where the scent of immortelle hangs heavy in the heat. Surrounded by the granite and maquis of the Culetta a e Conche, the landscape is defined by the Ruisseau de Campu Longu and the distant, rugged presence of Monte Cervellu. Beyond the nearby Col de Sevi, the Forêt de Péga offers shade, while the wider countryside reveals the ancient Ponte Vecciu. Further out, the Dolmen de Tremeca stands as a silent witness, and the dramatic Calanques de Piana mark the wild meeting of mountains and sea.
