How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About San-Giuliano

San-Giuliano rests within the Pianiccia de Belle Magiocche, where the scent of immortelle drifts from the maquis toward the Tyrrhenian Sea. The Rivière d’Alesani carves through the land, while the distant, silent bulk of Punta Campana guards the horizon. Visitors may explore the Phare d’Alistro, a solitary sentinel watching over the coast, or stand at the Easternmost Point of Metropolitan France, where the horizon dissolves into salt and light. Nearby, the Cathédrale Saint-Érasme anchors the landscape in stone, offering a quiet, enduring presence amidst the granite heights and the wild, tangled growth of the chestnut forests.
