📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Aure rests quietly within the dry, expansive landscapes of the Champagne pouilleuse. Here, the earth is composed of chalk, supporting vast cereal plains and the quiet shadows of the Bois de Jammes. Nearby, the river l'Allin traces a gentle path through the terrain, while the heights of la Bovelle rise on the horizon. The stillness of the 1914-18 battlefields lingers in the air, marked by the solemn presence of the Monument Américain du Blanc-Mont and the remnants of the Plate-forme d'artillerie de Semide 1ère GM. One might also discover the stark, enduring silhouette of the Borne Vauthier tucked into the countryside near Manre.
Aure se niche paisiblement au cœur des étendues arides de la Champagne pouilleuse. Le sol crayeux soutient de vastes plaines céréalières et l'ombre tranquille du Bois de Jammes. À proximité, l'Allin dessine un sillon discret dans le paysage, tandis que le sommet de la Bovelle se profile à l'horizon. Le silence des champs de bataille de la Grande Guerre imprègne l'atmosphère, ponctué par la solennité du Monument Américain du Blanc-Mont et les vestiges de la Plate-forme d'artillerie de Semide 1ère GM.
