How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Tétaigne

Tétaigne sits quietly within the rolling expanse of the Ardennes, a commune defined by the slow, rhythmic presence of the Ruisseau de Lombut and the proximity of the larger, winding Meuse. Beyond the village, the landscape rises toward the summit of Bémont and the dense, silent canopy of the Bois de Cernay. In this corner of the Grand Est, the air holds a stillness that lingers over the open cereal plains. Nearby, the Monastère de Mouzon stands as a testament to deep heritage, while the Abbatiale Notre-Dame offers a solemn grace, and the Château de Lamecourt remains a singular silhouette against the horizon.
