How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Courceroy

Courceroy sits quietly within the sprawling cereal plains of the Aube, a landscape defined by the pale, chalky earth beneath the soil. The village is shaped by the nearby la Noue des Saules and the proximity of the Bois de l'Orme, which offers a dark contrast to the open fields. In the wider countryside, the elegant architecture of the Château de la Motte-Tilly rises as a testament to local heritage, while the ancient stones of the Dolmen du Pavois evoke a distant, silent past. Near the horizon, the Château de Flamboin stands amidst slopes that catch the shifting light of the Grand Est.
