OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Folgensbourg lies nestled within the quiet folds of the Glaserberg, a landscape where the Ruisseau l'Altenbach traces a gentle path through the earth. Nearby, the woodland of les Goben d'Attenschwiller whispers with the shifting winds that drift down from the distant Grossberg. This is a region defined by the soft, rolling rhythms of the Haut-Rhin, where the Rhine plain stretches out toward the horizon. A short journey leads the curious to the weathered stones of the Château du Landskron, the refined silhouette of the Château de Hégenheim, or the silent, crumbling walls of the Burgruine Alt Landskron, each standing as a sentinel over this timeless borderland.
