How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Cusey

Cusey sits amidst a landscape of big cereal plains, where the Canal de la Marne à la Saône cuts through the quiet earth. Nearby, the Grande Côte de Bois offers a dense canopy, while the horizon is marked by the distant heights of the Mont de Coublanc. Within the commune, the Ancien Château keeps watch over the village, its stones weathered by time. A short journey leads to the Commanderie de la Romagne, a place of heavy, historic silence, or the Château de Prauthoy, nestled in the wider countryside. Here, the air feels still, grounded in the chalky soil of this ancient region.
