How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Maisoncelles

Maisoncelles sits quietly within the Haute-Marne, a landscape defined by the Ruisseau de Maisoncelles and the wooded slopes of the Bois le Chênoi. Nearby, the summit of Sur les Vignes offers a vantage over the vast cereal plains where the earth feels ancient and still. The horizon is shaped by the subtle rise of the land, leading toward the distant Meuse. For those wandering further, the evocative ruins of the Château de Lafauche stand as a testament to time, while the Abbaye de Morimond whispers of long-held silence. Beyond, the Aire d'Adhésion du Parc National de Forêts protects the deep, whispering timber of the region.
