How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Noyers

Noyers sits quietly within a landscape defined by the deep, persistent silence of the Haute-Marne. Here, the land is shaped by the gentle rhythms of the Viau, flowing near the dense, ancient shadows of the Grande Tanière woodland. Beyond the immediate cereal plains, the horizon rises toward the distant Haut du Fays. Travelers might explore the haunting solitude of the Abbaye de Morimond, or discover the prehistoric weight of the Dolmen de la Pierre-Alot. Further afield, the rugged stones of the Fort de Dampierre stand as silent witnesses to the region's complex, often somber past, inviting a contemplative pace of discovery.
