How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Étrepy

Étrepy rests within a landscape defined by the quiet passage of l'Ornain and the textured expanse of the Champagne region. Here, the land transitions between expansive cereal plains and the secluded shelter of le Gravelot, a woodland that softens the horizon. Nearby, the grand Château d'Etrepy stands as a silent sentinel of local heritage, while the ancient stones of the Abbaye de Trois Fontaines offer a contemplative retreat in the wider countryside. Further afield, the expansive Etangs de la Champagne Humide provide a sanctuary for stillness, reflecting the vast, open skies that characterize this tranquil corner of the Grand Est.
