Moivre rests within the dry expanse of the Champagne pouilleuse, a landscape defined by expansive cereal plains and the quiet persistence of chalk beneath the soil. The river la Moivre traces a gentle path through this terrain, where the summit of le Blanc Gâtel rises to meet the sky near the woodland of les Souris. Beyond these slopes, the horizon holds the profound stillness of the 1914-18 battlefields at the Camp romain. Further afield, the intricate architecture of the Basilique Notre-Dame de l'Épine stands as a testament to stone, while the historic Moulin de Valmy turns slowly in the wind.
Moivre s'inscrit au cœur de la Champagne pouilleuse, un territoire marqué par de vastes plaines céréalières et la craie affleurant sous les pieds.
