How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Bréménil

Bréménil rests quietly where the forest meets the fields, a village defined by the steady flow of la Brême. Beyond the long street, the landscape rises toward the cuesta, where red ochre stone hints at the iron and salt buried in the deep earth. Nearby, the Forêt Domaniale de Grand Cheneau offers a dense sanctuary, while the waters of Lac de Pierre-Percée shimmer in the distance. A visitor might explore the haunting ruins of the Château de Pierre-Percée, contemplate the scars of the past at the Borne Vauthier, or step into the working history preserved at the Scierie de La Hallière.
