OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Flin rests in the quiet heart of Meurthe-et-Moselle, where the forest comes right up to the fields and the river Meurthe winds close by. The landscape is shaped by the gentle rise of the Haut de l'Armérion and the verdant edges of the Bois Martin Bouxard. Beyond the village, the countryside reveals echoes of the past, from the imposing ruins of the Château de Blâmont to the silent strength of the Fort de Manonviller. A short journey leads to the Château de Moyen, where stone walls stand as witnesses to a landscape defined by iron, salt, and the lingering rhythm of the seasons.
