How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Landécourt

Landécourt rests within a landscape defined by the quiet passage of le Breuil, where the forest of Bois Saulico presses close against the fields. The terrain speaks of iron, salt, and the red ochre stone that anchors these villages to the plateau. Beyond the immediate canopy, the wider countryside reveals the historical echoes of forges and mine galleries. Visitors may wander toward the Château d’Haroué to admire its architectural grace, explore the depths of the local woodlands, or travel further to witness the impressive ruins of the Château de Moyen, which stand as silent sentinels over this rugged, storied earth.
