How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Pulnoy

Pulnoy lies nestled within the quiet, textured landscape of Meurthe-et-Moselle, a region defined by the soft rise of the plateau and the deep history of its soil. Here, the forest meets the fields in a seamless transition, where the Ruisseau de Grémillon traces a path through the greenery. Nearby, the waters of the Étang Tauru reflect the shifting sky, while the Butte Sainte-Geneviève stands as a silent sentinel on the horizon. It is a land shaped by the legacy of iron and salt, where the air carries the faint, enduring memory of the earth’s own architecture.

The commune itself is a place of steady rhythms, rooted in the surroundings of the Bois de Pulnoy and the nearby settlements of Seichamps. Life here moves with the seasons, away from the frantic pace of the larger world, yet tethered to the wider character of the Grand Est. The proximity of the Parc Naturel Régional de Lorraine ensures that the wilder, wooded character of the countryside remains a vital part of the local experience, offering a landscape where the horizon is defined by the gentle, rolling contours of a cuesta.

A short journey away, the cultural richness of the area unfolds through landmarks that ground the visitor in history and art. The Muséum-Aquarium de Nancy offers a window into the natural world, while the Musée des Beaux-Arts houses treasures that speak to the region’s creative spirit. The grand scale of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation commands respect, standing in contrast to the elegant symmetry of the Porte Sainte-Catherine. For those seeking the performing arts, the Opéra national de Lorraine remains a beacon of light and sound in the heart of the surrounding city.
