How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Blanche-Église

Blanche-Église rests quietly within the Parc Naturel Régional de Lorraine, defined by the slow meanderings of the Ruisseau de Juvelize. Here, the landscape is a tapestry of iron-rich soil and vast fields that touch the edge of the Forêt Domaniale de Saint-Jean. Nearby, the Étang de Lindre shimmers under the vast sky, while the Mont Kakelberg rises gently on the horizon. Visitors can explore the archaeological depth of the Briquetage de la Seille, discover the saline heritage at the Musée Départemental du Sel, or admire the architecture of the Collégiale Saint-Léger. It is a land of red ochre stone, where the forest meets the furrowed earth.
