Lorquin rests within the quiet expanse of the Moselle Sud biosphere reserve, a landscape defined by the rhythmic roll of plateau and cuesta. Lorquin s'inscrit au cœur de la réserve de biosphère de Moselle Sud, dans un paysage où s'entremêlent plateaux et cuestas. La forêt s'approche jusqu'aux lisières des champs, et le sol garde en mémoire le fer et le sel, tandis que la pierre rouge ocre façonne l'identité des villages étirés le long d'une unique rue.
