How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Suisse

Suisse sits quietly upon the landscape of the Moselle, where the forest of the Bois de Kesselbach brushes against the fields and the gentle rise of the Côte de Suisse marks the horizon. Nearby, the waters of la Rotte flow through a terrain defined by the legacy of iron and salt. In the wider countryside, visitors may discover the weathered stones of the Château comtal de Créhange or explore the somber, silent history preserved at the Ouvrage de Téting. Further afield, the Étang de la Mutche offers a reflective pause amidst the rolling plateau and cuesta of the Grand Est.
