📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Damas-aux-Bois sits quietly upon the landscape, where the forest comes right up to the fields and the earth holds the memory of iron and salt. Nearby, the water of le Loro flows gently towards the wider current of la Moselle, while the Haut de la Côte rises softly on the horizon. Beyond the village, one may wander through the Forêt Domaniale de Ternes or seek the silence of the Prieuré de Belval. Further afield, the sturdy walls of the Forteresse de Châtel-sur-Moselle and the weathered stones of the Château de Moyen stand as quiet sentinels over this corner of the Grand Est.
