Marey rests quietly upon the plateau, a place where the forest edges press directly against the fields. The Ruisseau Mariongoutte traces a path nearby, while the slopes of le Haumont rise gently toward the horizon. Here, the landscape feels shaped by iron and ancient stone, with le Grand Pâquis offering a quiet woodland retreat. A visitor might find the ruins of the Château de Lichecourt standing as a somber sentinel, or wander toward the Château de Saint-Baslemont, where the history of these lands lingers in the silent rooms. Further out, the Haut de Roussel marks the summit of this rugged, resilient terrain.
