📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Savigny rests within the gentle undulations of the Grand Est, a landscape defined by the iron and salt tucked beneath its soil. Here, the forest of Bois de la Feuillère presses against the fields, while the river le Colon flows quietly through the valley, shadowed by the prominence of the Chalmont. This is a land of red ochre stone and hidden mine galleries. Beyond the village, a visitor might uncover the delicate craft of the Musée de la lutherie et de l’archèterie, or stand in contemplation before the Monument de Lorraine, a silent witness to the region’s solemn history. Further afield, the Prieuré de Belval offers a sanctuary of quiet stone.
Savigny s'inscrit au cœur d'un paysage de plateaux et de cuestas, où la terre garde le souvenir du fer et du sel. Le Bois de la Feuillère borde les champs, tandis que le cours du Colon serpente non loin du sommet du Chalmont.
