Trampot rests upon the high, quiet plateau of the Vosges, where the forest presses against the fields and the earth holds the memory of red ochre stone. Nearby, the Fossé 01 des Combottes slips through the landscape, while the summit of le Plémont rises gently toward the clouds. One may wander toward the mysterious depths of le Cul du Cerf or seek the silence of the Réserve Biologique Dirigée d'Orquevaux. A short distance away, the ancient Amphithéâtre de Grand reveals its Roman bones, the weathered ruins of the Château de Lafauche stand watch, and the Château de Reynel offers a glimpse into a long-settled past.
Trampot s'étire sur le plateau des Vosges, là où le bois du Charmoy borde les champs et où la terre révèle ses teintes d'ocre.
