How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Campagne

Campagne sits quietly within the vast, open plains of the Oise, where fields of wheat stretch toward a low, grey horizon. The Canal du Nord cuts a deliberate path through the landscape, while the nearby Bois du Quesnoy offers a dense, sheltering presence against the wide Picard sky. In the distance, the shape of Mont Saint-Siméon anchors the view. A visitor might venture further to contemplate the haunting ruins of Château Mennechet, wander the solemn grounds of Abbaye d'Ourscamp, or explore the collections at the Musée franco-américain du château de Blérancourt, each place speaking to the layered history of this quiet corner of Hauts-de-France.
