How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Pronleroy

Pronleroy sits amidst the wide plains of the Oise, a landscape defined by the rhythmic cycle of beet and wheat under big, shifting skies. Near the local Bois de Pronleroy, the terrain rolls gently toward the heights of Caucremont and the natural rise of la Motte. This is a region of quiet brick farmsteads and open horizons. A short journey away, the medieval stones of the Abbaye de Saint-Martin-aux-Bois stand in solemn reflection, while the Musée de la Sucrerie de Francières offers a tactile history of the local soil. Further out, the Château du Fayel rests within the tranquil, rolling countryside.
