How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Rosières

Rosières sits quietly within the expansive plains of the Oise, where fields of wheat stretch toward the horizon under broad, shifting skies. The landscape is shaped by the proximity of the Bois de Droizelles and the gentle rise of the Montagne de Rosières, while the Ruisseau de Coulery traces a path through the nearby countryside. Within the Parc Naturel Régional Oise-Pays de France, one finds the ruins of the Abbaye de Chaalis, an evocative stone remnant of monastic silence. Nearby, the Château de Versigny stands as a grand architectural presence, and the family-oriented expanse of La Mer de Sable offers a stark contrast to these historic grounds.
