OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Nouvelle-Église sits amidst the wide, flat plains of the Pas-de-Calais, a landscape defined by the rhythmic lines of poplars, drainage ditches, and the humble, enduring presence of brick farms. The Watergang de Nouvelle-Église flows quietly through the fields of beet and wheat, while the North Sea remains close by, pulling the big skies and low grey clouds over the horizon. Beyond the village, visitors can find the ruins of La Tour Penchée, standing as a quiet sentinel of the past, or visit the Phare de Gravelines, whose light has long guided sailors home. Further afield, the Parc Naturel Régional des Caps et Marais d'Opale offers a vast, protected expanse of nature to explore.
