OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Champeaux rests within the quiet expanse of the Brie wheat plains, a landscape defined by the pale textures of limestone and the soft, diffused light over open fields. The Ru d'Ancoeur traces a gentle path nearby, while the distant Sommet des Rangeaux rises against the horizon. Visitors find the Collégiale Saint-Martin standing as a stoic heart within the village, its architecture echoing the weight of time. In the wider countryside, the medieval fortifications of the Château de Blandy-les-Tours loom over the landscape, and the tranquil Bois du Boulay offers a shaded retreat from the vast, sun-drenched plateau.
