How to Use This Map / Mode d'emploi

Use the Map and Satellite buttons to switch between the street map and aerial imagery, and the + and − buttons to zoom. Click ⛶ Fullscreen for a larger view; press Escape or tap ✕ Exit Fullscreen to return.

OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.

Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.

📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.

Mode d'emploi.

About Saint-Brice

Saint-Brice rests within the quiet expanse of the Brie wheat plains, where the landscape is defined by the gentle flow of the Ruisseau des Auges and the nearby shelter of Bois Chevron. The air here holds the soft clarity of the inland countryside, far from the bustling locks of the Seine. In the heart of the commune, the ancient Menhir de Saint-Brice anchors the earth, while the Église Sainte-Croix stands as a silent sentinel of stone. Nearby, the Musée Vivant du Chemin de Fer offers a rhythmic connection to the past, grounding the visitor in the steady, industrial heartbeat of this historic region.
