OFFICIAL FRENCH MAPS. The green 🔍 Search Maps button opens a second map with three base layers: OSM (OpenStreetMap), Plan IGN — France's official national map from the Institut national de l'information géographique et forestière — and Photos, the IGN's aerial photography. Two overlays go over any of them: Contours, the IGN's contour lines, and Relief, hillshading from the RGE ALTI one-metre terrain model. The search box finds any place in France or beyond by name.
Click Grid to overlay the UTM grid — one-kilometre squares at normal zoom. Click Measure and tap two points for the distance plus the grid, true and magnetic bearing.
📍 My position takes a single GPS reading and shows it as an MGRS reference, as plain UTM, as Lambert-93 (the French national grid, EPSG:2154) and as latitude and longitude, with a Copy position button. Map tiles need mobile coverage; a GPS reading does not.
Mode d'emploi.

Montreuil-sur-Epte sits quietly within the Parc Naturel Régional du Vexin Français, a landscape defined by the wheat plains of the Vexin and the gentle, persistent presence of l'Epte. Nearby, the woodland of le Clos aux Chasses offers a reprieve of shade, while the open expanse of les Varennes rolls toward the horizon. A visitor might wander to the ancient Allée couverte, a silent sentinel of stone, or find wonder in the manicured beauty of the Domaine de Villarceaux. Further afield, the Château d'Ambleville stands as a testament to the region’s enduring stone traditions, where the impressionists' river light still catches the plaster walls.
